The Shemsemada - The Son of Knowledge?
He was clearly part of the sufi tradition with a strong mystical bent. I tend to see him as a sort of pifot point. Is just my sense of him. Obviously, i'm not there in the thirteenth century but i feel like his ego doesn't really come to the party here,. It's more about synthesizing the received tradition and some things in the mystical tradition... And then arranging it in a way that's suitable and usable.
