How to Dose a Neuromuscular Blocker
succinylcholine can be part of an induction and can be your induction neuromuscular blocker but I think more commonly in the operating room we default to using rock uranium or vacuronium. The rest of the non-depolarizers including rock uranium and vacuronium should be based on ideal body weight so this is where you're actually not taking into account the weight of the patient at all just their height and gender to find out their ideal body weight. This is the same weight ideal body weight that we use when calculating the correct tidal volume for patients.
