Operation Gunnerside
Operation Gunnerside was a mission to infiltrate the Vermoc heavy water plant. The commandos knew every stairwell and whether locks were located on every door. They found an air duct out of the basement, a two-foot wide vent that was just about possible to squeeze through. There was only a single Norwegian in the heavy water plant because the Germans didn't think it could be infiltrated without alarms.
