In chile, there is a vein of history that is very concerned with these pearl migrants. They are referred to as publa dorpes, which we can roughly translate as sort of urban poor. But they're considered a capital s social subject that is distinct from a worker. And so my project is essentially trying to break down this analytic barrier that has separated the poblador from the worker.
