The Box of Delights by Rold Dahl
Lauren's father Axel spotted her at an exhibition in 1990. She was chosen as one of 15 British illustrators all, although she wasn't a British artist. Quentin makes the laugh on these monstrous characters so you laugh at them rather than are completely terrified of them. So I think he brings you in. He can show the nasty, but he can be on side with you. Lauren says his style is unique and appeals to everyone.
