Mentors don't give you a short cut, but what they can do is stream line the process. By nature, mentors feel emotionally invested in your education. You need to have something tangible and practical to offer them. In order to entice the right master to serve as your mentor, you need to mix in a strong element of self interest. So that, i was one of the laws of power.
