The current generation of young philosophers seem to me way more likely than my generation of philosophers to let their personal lives let their own life experience into their work  to let the state of society around them shape what kinds of questions they ask. How do you make philosophical training in the academy conducive to the kind of deepest and richest kinds of philosophical work? And then how do you make that accessible outside the academy.?
