The Importance of Choosing the Right Verb
In English, most of our sentences use the subject verb object structure. But in explative sentences, the thing that comes first isn't the subject and there are many people who wrote a letter to the editor. It can get tricky when you have a compound subject made up of singular nouns. That puts the word problem right up front in the sentence compared to, your plan has a problem.
