The Pathology of Chigatoxin in Dogs

It doesn't seem like it's a disease that's spreading. The cases have been in various counties, Hampshire, Dorset and Surrey. All the pathology has some similarities to a disease called hematic euremic syndrome in people. That is thought to be caused by a toxin called chigatoxin produced by a bacteria called E. coli. So we've worked quite hard on our dogs to look for these toxins but haven't found them yet.
