The Autologous Blood Method
The other autologous blood method is cell salvage, what some people call the cell saver. That device is designed to return the blood patients lose during surgery and give them back their own blood that they lose. The problem with that is all you're giving back is red cells because the plasma and the clotting factors and the platelets are washed out in the centrifuge.
