The Importance of Narrative Device in a Police Report
Randall: I think he probably heard somebody in the woods and you know, when you steal something, you want to do it quickly and get the hell out of there as fast as you can. That's what basically sent him running was that because it was like we even talked like he like coughed and like some blood came up and... Yeah, I think that was a mistake. The one clarification on the narrative device is that while you don't want to do that global check for the narrative device sentence by sentence yet, doing it piecemeal is a really good choice.
