I'd Like to See More Direct Funding of the Development of Drugs

I'd like to see us move towards open source where you pay for the research out the front. The NIH has a budget of over $50 billion a year if they could put some of that into trying to actually develop drugs and having them be in the public domain. Imagine that NIH could fund the development of another arthritis drug, comes on the market and sells for $300.
