The IRS Proposed Notice 23-27 on Collectibles
The IRS is considering whether digital assets should be considered collectibles. The public has until June 18th or 19th to submit comments on this question. NFTs represent ownership of antique wines and alcohol, among other things. Scott Gottlieb: I think there's a large movement towards tokenizing assets in real estate.
