The Problem With Private Education in the Republic
Socrates would say it's not even headed in the right direction because it's all private education. The Republic is about eliminating your sense of like particular personal interest and creating these, you know, people who are only concerned with the most abstract and public things. What I meant more was that the sort of implicit reason that people try to get good educations is to get ahead. And so it was Wall Street, right? And it's to win as an individual.
