Introduction

Abu Barakat al-Baghdadi is the first major figure of this series on philosophy in the later Islamic world. Most listeners will recognize at best a handful of the many thinkers I'm going to discuss, with the most famous probably being Rumi and Ibn Taimiya. The episodes to come are going to be looking at figures and movements that are unknown, even to most academic experts,. never mind the wider public.
