Animals Matter, Only Human Beings Matter

Our current industries, like factorye farming and deforestation in the wild life trade, kill trillions of animals a year directly. And then contribute to these broader health and environmental threats. So i think one of the strategies that you use in the book is to take the view that we could entertain a variety of different moral positions. We don't necessarily know which one is the correct moral position. But if we treat animals badly, if we treat the environment badly, it could have very negative consequences for for humanity.
