How to Become a Maintainer of E Shell

In shell mode, if you do meta are you can search through your history for like old commands and it's an interactive search. But in e shell, when you do control R, it lets you do the search, but it's not interactive. You type cat and then you have to press enter to see what you're actually going to be doing. And then the other two things are input redirection. I think it's the standard in interaction. So if you have a file that you want to feed into a process, I'm pretty sure that's the one that doesn't work. It would just be nice if that worked. Also more compatibility with bash stuff.
