The Importance of the Salt in God's Covenant
The Lord lived a crucified life denying himself and the natural life. He put his ability to live independently to death. His humanity, his sinless humanity, was preserved and kept for the father. As his humanity joined to and cleaved to the father, the salt became then a seasoning, a taste. This is the basic factor of God's covenant, the cross.
