The Teeter-Totter Is Not Harmony, It Is Preservation and Ruin
If you imagine two sides of a teeter-totter, they may start perfectly level. And that is harmony. But then it's just slowly tilting. To one side over time, once it like tilts past a certain point, then harmony becomes discord. That's not harmony becoming preservation and ruin. Those are two different things.
