Our ancestors had big, brawny arms and shoulders that enabled them to climb well. But once you get to homorectus, they slept on the ground. And if you can keep warm at night, you don't need hair as an insulating lare. This is very significant because humans are a relatively active species. We have an anatomy that is adapted to running from two million years onwards. It's such an energy efficient toget round its thought humans simply pursued their less efficient quadruped prey until it collapsed from exhaustion.
