Teaching God's Providence to a Toddler

How would you explain god's providence to a toddler? Tell him stories that illustrate how bad things often are, god's wise and merciful way of doing good to us. Second suggestion: weave into your teaching again and again the passages that say suffering is necessary for christians and des ind by god. Third Suggestion: Teach your child that we are sinners and that we don't deserve anything good from god.
