What Happens in the Housing Market?

A big percentage of some economies rely on the real estate market, right? Like residential investment and all the things that come with it. It varies like say 5% of US and 8% of Canada, but then add the indirect and you can get up pretty high - especially in Canada. So there's a direct impact where residential fixed investment is probably going to go down. But then there's this indirect thing in some countries and the US is kind of exempt from this, which is a major point I think.
