Tom Brokaw: One of the classes that they don't teach in medical school, nursing school or dennal school is active listening skills. He says health care workers are trained to have answers and not listen to patients' experiences. Brokaw asks a patient who had a crown put on her tooth two years ago if it's really so hard to replace? "It's like taking one hat off and putting another on," he writes.
