How to Be a Successful Founder in the Face of Disruption
In 2010, when I started at Google Ventures, we invested in a lot of mobile companies. The companies that wound up doing super well in that market had yet to be invented. We're looking for those companies where that business model will be changed by AI rather than AI for the sake of it. You're going to see these wars between Google and Microsoft and open AI. These companies are well funded, buying outrageous amounts of compute power. This is a very, very contrary view. Every one of my colleagues is rushing into AI. So to take the long term view, manage to move out of the exuberance and headlines.
