Is There a Need for Artificial Intelligence to Integrate Emotions?
I do think that if we want to, of course, we can have artificial intelligence that is completely different from how humans do things. So I think the problem to be solved for the kinds of intelligence that we engage in and other animals engage in are fascinating as well. But these kinds of intelligence really requires us to solve the behavioral autonomy problem. How do you build a system that is completely autonomous and can behave flexibly and intelligently in complex, unpredictable worlds so that the rules are completely flexible enough? That's my way of thinking.
