Do You Do a Lot of Dubbing?

There seems to be a lot of dubbing in the movie. I started to believe his whole life was dubbed. Does he not like his voice? Is that part of it? Or is he just not clear? I think he wants to sound as Johnny as possible, Johnny, Johnny Americana. So I think he really tried to make sure each line was said.
