Anu Chingway and her friend Madavi exchanged $250 for a gram of heroin in September. They attempted to shoot up on their own, but couldn't find the right veins so they invited another friends over to redimmonstrate the injection process. On October 19, Jo told his parents that he was hosting a dinner party with Anu as a final send-off before she committed suicide. He asked if anyone else wanted to join them; some guests were total strangers who attended out of morbid curiosity.
