There is no way to create a back door that only the good guys can walk through, Meredith Wettaker from Signal said on Channel 4 News yesterday. She's talking about things akin to having government approved spyware on your devices so that the government can have a back door. So it's really important that we maintain the security and integrity of these systems. But put that aside. How exactly are they going to do harm to the British public?
