The Prevailing View That AI Is an Advanced Form of AI

The most advanced AIs do this thing that inductivism or Bayesianism would have them do, namely take a vast amount of data and process it in a way that can give rise to predictive theories. So why is the prevailing view that AGI is an advanced form of AI? And I was saying because under the prevailing epistemology there is no other way of generating knowledge or new theories or new predictions other than generalizing from data.
