The goal is to keep it between 70 to 100 milligrams per deciliter. The sooner you reduce cholesterol, the lower your risk factor is within a given period of time. Diet has been studied extensively and I'm very happy to say that I was involved in studying dietary patterns specifically the Mediterranean diet and stroke prevention.
