In World War II, the maiden form company made over 28,000 vests for carrier pigeons. This was primarily a protective vest so that if a paratrooper descended into Europe holding a carrier pigeon, it would land safely with no harm because it had cushioning and protection. And then the pigeons also get like little bullet bras so they can look hot while they're doing their duty.
