How Do You Kick Off a Team Meeting?

The first thing that you can do is confirm and say something like, hey, I don't imagine I'm the only meeting on your calendar today. Did you have a chance to scan any bit of the document? And if so, maybe a helpful starting place would be understanding to what extent any piece of this resonated with you. If not, we could step back and I'm happy to detail it. So you want to start there. What a lot of people screw up in these meetings is they assume that everything that your previous champions cared about is exactly what the executive is going to care about.
