The Importance of Java in a Large Team
Scalar is a really beautiful language in many ways. It's almost like the red and blue or the different colored functions for async and await. When you really start digging into it you go oh wait we don't really need to do this do we? Well I mean I think it just makes things so elegant. You don't realize how nice a world with that semicolon is. So yeah that's probably the single biggest thing I miss but he says Scala has some real downsides whereas Java and the constraints of the language work better at that scale.
