I was really surprised that there was a six year time jump in between these books like you alluded to. I don't know if it's because Brandon needs to make the Cosmere timelines line up. It feels just like this big loose thread that has been developed all through bands of mourning. And we really expect it to be followed up on in the lost metal and it is not at all.
