The Differences Between UK 2014 and COG Protocols
The UK in the past also did something similar. They realized that their UK protocols were inferior to both the Germans and the Americans. So for PEDS around 1999, they completely stopped their AALL 97 study and said, you know what? We need to just use a BFM backbone now. That's why a lot of or all the UK protocols for kids are now BFM backbone. The same thing occurred with adults too. But instead of adopting the American COG protocols, which the children did in the UK, the adults group ended up adopting the German B FM backbone.
