How to Trade Volatility
The VRP strategy pairs trading with the VIX and bonds. The dream here is that you want to be short this thing, but you don't want to blow out. So we try to ratchet up our profit by being short volatility by being long volatility. There's some presumption of a negative correlation between stocks and bond market.
