In two thousand and eight a small swedish startup offered usas the ability to stream free from the internet if they listened to ads. Itunes, which came next, sold songs at 99 cents a track. But it turned out to be only an interim step to an extraordinary new world that was opening up of on demand. Tom gray is a song writer and composer who campaigns for fairer pay for musicians and artists. He says: "The amount we get paid has gone down, and has gone down consistently"
