Drugs of Abuse Testing and CBD
Using CBD isn't risk-free. The FDA actually has very limited safety data on CBD, but some possible side effects and risk include things like drowsiness or diarrhea. In 2018, the FDA approved the first plant-derived pharmaceutical grade purified CBD. It's epidiol X. That was approved for the treatment of epilepsy and seizures and patients. And so there is some prescription-based usage of this in our patient population.
