Theophony and the Light in the Darkness
Theophony is the first glimmers of that light on the beginning of the showing of what has happened. In an icon, you never see people taking communion with their bare hands,. They've always got their hands covered with usually w like their outer garment, or or their robe to receive the eucharist. Behind them, in the icons of this feast, behind them, there's always this very curious looking structure. It's got four pillars, then a dome, usually a dome or can ava roof, over the top of those pillars. And then very often there's a curtain that can be drawn around them and a so in the tabernacle of moses, right?
