Startups often get acquired by very large orgs. The idea is you'll get the trade off in the scale ability, and your idea will be really big. But i think what happens a lot is that the people on the ground, that the directors and engineers who are responsible for doing that, don't feel the scale. They just feel persian, and they are not excited and motivated by the the sort of the big picture on the other side.
