The Importance of Innovation in the Long-Term

Time is short and innovation takes time to diffuse into the economy, doesn't it? There are also already technologies that exist, but the problem is that they are often expensive. So you need to innovate to find new source of energy or to make existing green technologies cheaper in particular to developing countries. And so that innovation is required there as well.
