Is There a Transcendental Art Practice?
I've been drawing since I was a kid. I just love it. So there's rituals from different religions and worldviews that if you were to ask me, I'd say I don't really believe in them. But I can see myself performatively acting out the ritual with just enough agnosticism. And I think in that moment, it's no longer sacrilege because there is just the right amount of earnestness and openness to the transcendent.
