The church in its benevolent function is a community organizing tool and what it might do is announce great projects. Think about those gorgeous French cathedrals. They were built by peasants, laboring, coordinated by these people in the church. This is a great unifying project that's been going on for hundreds of years. And we think, well, how would we ever commit that time? We aren't the same. But ah, but we are. See, we're building the internet over decades.
