The improbability principle looks at extraordinary coincidences, highly improbable events like that. It debunks the notion that there's sort of mystical force in the universe which is leading those things to happen more often than they should. The anthony hopkins story is similar. He was starring in a film called the girl from petrovka, by george fifer. But he couldn't find a copy of the book. All the bookstores were sold out. On his way home on the london underground, he saw a book on the seat next to him while he was waiting for the train. It turned out to be an exact copy of the very book he had been looking for.
