The Importance of Religion in the Conversion of Vladimir

Kevin Russe: Grand Prince Vladimir I visited all of the world's major religions. He says he found Eastern Byzantine Christianity to be most appealing. After a military campaign in 988, Vladmir was baptized and married an Orthodox Christian. The event is said to have cured him of vision problems after his baptism.
