Is There a Good Public Health Test for COVID?
People are only infectious for somewhere between three and seven days, but can be positive on a PCR test for 30 to 70 days. It's potentially a 10-fold difference in terms of how long yourPCR positive versus how long you're infectious. So, we don't want to be taking people during those 30 to 70 day and saying you need to isolate just because you go and get a swab or you can't go on your trip just because you had COVID last month. That's bad public health practice.
