The Slow Cure Is the Safe Cure
The work of purifying the soul neither can nor should end all our life long. Diseases of the soul, like those of the body, come quickly, but they depart on foot, slow as a snail. In the words of the prophet, quote, it is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest,. Psalm 127.2.
