Debt has often climbed in response to some major event. Today we are the same level of debt relative to the size of the US economy as we were during World War II. The Penn Wharton budget model project that debt will hit about 230% of theSize of the Economy by 2050. But why isn't it sustainable? It's powerful, rich and can just carry on a cooing debt forever.
