Shadow, a Convict and Ends It a Different Man
Shadow begins the novel as a convict and ends it a different man. How does the novel exploit idea of america as a place where immigrants and exiles, both physical and emotional, can re invent themselves? What makes shadow so compelling and complex? Nothing. The protagonist i didn't, i found neither complex nor compelling. He is basically just kind of a stoic, tough, gy kind of protagonist.
