The Importance of Time on Site

A lot of people want a lot of page views, but nobody knows if they're really helping the user in the end or not. I was thinking more than just the actual label, you think it says something, like time on site. When you start to peel back the layers of how it's specifically defined, it may make more of an impact. But there's other cases where it pays to know exactly what it is measuring. If you don't know what it actually measures, you may think that, oh, bounce rate, it refers to people landing on a page and then leaving again right away.
